Multi-Sig Escrow Upgrade Deployed on Nexus Platform

Nexus Darknet Market has deployed a significant upgrade to its escrow infrastructure, transitioning from a standard custodial escrow model to a threshold multi-signature system for all new orders. The upgrade increases the cryptographic security of held funds and reduces the risk of platform-level theft or exit scam scenarios.
Under the new system, escrow wallets require coordinated signatures from both the platform and one of the transaction parties to release funds. Admin-only fund access is no longer possible — a significant trust improvement over platforms where marketplace operators maintain unilateral control over escrow balances.
The upgrade applies to all new orders placed after the deployment date. Existing open orders continue to operate under the previous escrow model until finalization. Vendors have been notified through in-platform messaging and the change is documented in the updated Nexus terms of service.
